Nel Trofeo Pirelli-Sky, Mourinho manda Quaresma in campo da titolare, il Portoghese parte bene, ottimi i suoi primi 15 minuti ma poi cala anche se cerca di mantenere un ritmo alto. Nei primi minuti è molto propositivo, tiene bene palla, è autore di buoni guizzi e viene spesso fermato fallosamente. Nella metà del primo tempo si spegne, tocca pochi palloni e non riesce a incidere, anche se si mette in luce con un buon lancio per Balotelli e con un buon intervento difensivo. D'altronde, nel primo tempo, tutto l'Inter ha deluso giocando una brutta partita. Nonostante la prestazione non perfetta è cmq stato uno dei migliori dell'Inter dei primi 45 minuti.
